We just wrapped up RSNA 2021. As a veteran show exhibitor, booth traffic was strong and steady. Dozens of familiar faces stopped by to see our latest enterprise imaging technologies and greet us with a long overdue hello!
That’s one aspect of Fujifilm that I truly love. Through years of customer collaborations on new product releases and enhancements, we innately forge long-term, meaningful relationships. Presenting our latest software updates at shows is one of our favorite things to do, and being in-person was long overdue for all of us.
As we reflect on another RSNA come and gone, here are three ways that our customer collaborations have continuously advanced enterprise imaging:
We Help You Prepare for What’s Ahead
As the healthcare industry evolves, it’s our job to help you evolve with it. Our technologies need to make it easier, not harder, for you to stay ahead in this rapidly changing environment. That was the case with Tuality Healthcare. When Meaningful Use Stage 2 was introduced, it required all imaging data to be accessible through the EHR. Tuality knew Synapse® Mobility was their solution to the mandate. Already an avid Synapse PACS user, the network was confident that our enterprise viewer would give their 400+ providers the anytime, anywhere access they needed while allowing them to stay compliant and efficient. Since their initial deployment, Mobility has remained a Tuality favorite, and that makes our partnership even more rewarding.
You’ve Made New of Tried-and-True
Sometimes, the latest enterprise imaging innovation is already right in front of you. While Fujifilm developers engineer each and every software feature, we often discover the full potential of our solutions from collaborating with those of you who rely on the software each and every day. Boston Children’s Hospital, for example, has used our Synapse 3D Advanced Visualization software for more than a decade. Traditionally, they rely on our Sector MPR application to render CT slices of abdominal structures and help localize them on ultrasound studies. But could that same functionality be used for pediatric CT and MRI neuroimaging when interval ultrasound exams are given for comparison? Boston Children’s staff neuroradiologist and medical director of imaging informatics certainly thought so. The world-renowned pediatric institution now uses Synapse 3D to compare recurrent image results to help identify slow tumor growth in brain cancer patients post-chemotherapy. Now that’s innovation at its finest!
We’ve Brought New Innovations to Life
Some of Fujifilm’s greatest enterprise imaging innovations were inspired by our customers. Take North Memorial Health, for example. The cardiology leader wanted a cardiovascular information system (CVIS) with an enterprise imaging foundation. Their ideal solution needed to support comprehensive, secure image management with simplified and efficient reporting capabilities built in. Being able to integrate with their existing imaging equipment, rather than rip-and-replace, and create a single, holistic patient imaging and reporting system was North Memorial’s overall vision. It was also Fujifilm’s opportunity. Working together, we collaborated to fully customize a new kind of CVIS; and our new, feature-rich Synapse Cardiology PACS platform was born!
